Tips for written test:
Concentrate on following topics
for aptitude test: Problems on time and work, profit and loss, problems related
to age and few vocabulary questions were also asked.
For technical questions, a strong
command in the following topics would be a plus.
Micro controller and microprocessor,
digital communication, questions on C- language, digital electronics and data
structures were asked in previous placement papers.
Most of the applicants had a
feedback that the written test was easy, but one needs to be very quick in
solving the questions. As the test is easy, the cut off was too high in the
previous campus placements.
Technical Interview (2nd & 3rd rounds)
After the shortlist is made based
on the cut offs, the candidate will have to appear for two technical
interviews.
Although the questions asked are
different for each panel because it is purely based on the person who is
interviewing you. But considering the facts, most of the recruiters ask about
your ongoing projects and those done by you.
They will also test your
subjective knowledge by asking questions based on data structures, operating
systems and C++.
What you’re expected to do in a
technical interview?
You need elaborate and explain
about your projects clearly, if asked.
A strong command in data
structures, operating systems and C++ would be a plus.
In this round the recruiters will
test your in-depth knowledge in the subject, mostly they try to focus on
computer networking, which is their key domain. Questions related to computer
networking such as IP address, Routing, ARP, NAT etc. Also questions related to
Operating Systems may be asked.
HR Interview:
Once you have cleared your technical interviews, there will
hardly be any hassles to crack this. It’s just meant for formality and few
general questions will be asked.
Editor Insights:
For someone keen in cracking CISCO campus drive, be prepared
and gain a sound knowledge on: digital electronics, digital communication,
microprocessor (8085), C, C++, data structures (not a mandate for ECE
students), OS, computer networks.
Written test is easy, but one must be very quick at problem solving. In
technical rounds concentrate mainly on computer networks, projects, OS and
programming (C or C++).
